COVID-19 Response

  • Any NEI employee entering a customer site, follows all COVID-19 guidelines specific to the site
  • When possible, NEI employees are working remotely until further notice
  • Employees working in the NEI office are following CDC guidelines. All employees have been stationed at work areas that allow for at least 6 feet between employees
  • Face to face communication is also done to allow 6 feet between employees
  • Meetings taking place between 2 or more employees are conducted to allow 6 feet between participants
  • Employees displaying any symptoms are asked to remain at home
  • Employees displaying a fever over 100.4º  ARE NOT permitted to come to NEI’s place of business or visit any customer sites
  • Employees are NOT to return to work for at least 24 hours after being fever free
  • Employees who have knowingly come into contact with someone who has the Coronavirus, such as a family member, are asked to stay away from colleagues and customers during the CDC-declared incubation period, which is 14 days for the Coronavirus
  • An employee displaying symptoms, giving rise for concern, is sent home immediately and asked to call the Indiana State Dept. of Health COVID-19 Call Center to be screened. Employee will not be permitted to return to work unless he/she has not met the criteria for COVID-19 testing AND they no longer display symptoms
  • Employees traveling out of the US to a level 3 country, must notify the HR Manager or COO. Employee is required to self-quarantine for 14 days after returning. A list of countries with health advisories can be found here: cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/index.html.
  • Employees must wash hands regularly for 20 seconds using soap and hot water
  • Alcohol-based hand sanitizer is furnished and available in public areas around the office
  • Employees are advised to cough and sneeze into a tissue (provided through the office) or your elbow or shoulder
  • Employees are encouraged to focus on staying healthy, which includes drinking plenty of water and getting the proper amount of rest
  • Employees working in the office or meeting with customers/vendors should avoid shaking hands during this health crisis
  • Sanitizing wipes are furnished and available throughout the NEI office
  • Employees are asked to routinely wipe down desks, keyboards, phones, light switches and door knobs in their own work areas
  • Common areas around the office are sanitized daily by a member of the Executive Team 
  • Company vehicles are treated daily with a disinfectant spray
